Arden Construction had the pleasure of completing the refurbishment and reconfiguration of Poets Arbour in Stratford upon Avon. This property is set within a conservation area and had been recently purchased by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, they had a programme to convert it into offices and conference training facilities over two storeys with DDA access.
Arden has completed the entire strip out of the property over the area of 2074 sq ft, and subsequent reconfiguration of areas for new kitchen facilities, toilet facilities, new rooms with partitions and the installation of a lift shaft, this involved changing the floor level.
Internal works included the general strip out, repairs to brickwork by installing helical bars, erection of new partitions, installation of a new lift shaft and concrete pad foundation base and electrical connections, installation of new suspended ceiling, new flooring, secondary glazing system, new kitchen and washrooms, M&E and associated services, general decorations and making good the plasterwork.
External works included structural repairs to brickwork, formation of a new entrance, repairs to render and redecorate with masonry paint, refurbishment of timber window frames, roofing works, drain survey and new foul and waste drainage and associated soft landscaping.
